I have huge hands so it’ll probably be fine, but jury is still out. I am disappointed in this latest incident but will let it go and enjoy my new iPhone 12 Pro Max (transferring from iPhone X).
I’ve used Apple since the first Mac so I am hear you stay. Quite plainly, it phone to phone doesn’t work dependably and the fact that no Apple support staff has addressed these chat threads is proof. And the agent said the same thing could happen with a cord. I honestly do not recommend phone to phone data transfer. it can really help denoising because it maximizes the possibility that the noise shape will remains consistent around a pixel between adjacent animation frames. While the 'stuck on camera' noise effect is undesirable in regular rendering. Rather than restore and download from icloud I left it alone and will live with a slightly haunting feeling that the one file or contact I’ll need one day is the one that is lost in space. Doing so will make the noise effect be 'stuck on the camera' instead of 'dancing around like TV static'. All contacts looked like they matched though the old phone said 6339 contacts and the new phone said 4 contacts though it looked like the contacts completely matched. Unfortunately, notifications on each home screen were different.
With her on the line, I went ahead and stopped the transfer and the home screen on the old phone popped up. Thank you for your reply! I too spoke to a support agent today and we decided to leave all as it was.
